One of the most photographed beaches in the world, the pale pink sands of Anse Source d’Argent unfurls across the island of La Digue, one of the 115 components of this archipelago in the Indian Ocean. The sands sparkle against a backdrop of towering granite boulders, worn by time and weather. The turquoise water is relatively shallow and protected from the ocean’s waves by a reef.

Bora Bora, Tahiti

This is one of the magical islands that make up French Polynesia in the South Pacific. Just 18 miles (29 kilometers) long, this lush little slip of land lies in a protected lagoon edged by white sandy shores, the best being at Matira Point. Bora Bora boasts the nickname the “Romantic Island,” a moniker easy to appreciate with its isolated beaches, intimate hotels, and quiet atmosphere.

The Hamptons, New York

One of the hip spots for the air-kissing, well-heeled set, the Hamptons boast some of the prettiest beaches on Long Island. The unspoiled shoreline begins around Southampton and runs east to the end of the island at Montauk. Windswept dunes and waving grasses border the Atlantic Ocean.

Lanikai Beach, Hawaii

Half a mile of sparkling sand, palm trees swaying over a white beach, lush tropical plants, and endless sunshine make Lanikai one of Hawaii’s most scenic beaches. The shore is protected by a nearby coral reef, which keeps the surf relatively calm. The water is always deep green and postcard-perfect.

Nantucket Island, Massachusetts

The most popular beaches on this island in the North Atlantic are Surfside and Children’s. The waters here are relatively calm, and there’s plenty of sand to use for sunbathing or castle-building. Madaket Beach is known for its rougher surf and not-to-be-missed sunsets. Quidnet Beach provides great views of Sankaty Head lighthouse.

Fraser Island, Australia

Perched on the sunny Queensland coast 161 miles (259 kilometers) northeast of Brisbane, Fraser Island is the world’s largest sand island and home to a wonderful beach. This World Heritage Site is an ecologist’s dream, with 640 square miles (1,664 square kilometers) of unspoiled natural paradise. Rain forests with 1,000-year-old trees sprout from the sand. Lodgings here accommodate a wide range of tourists, from the backpacking ecology lover to pampered resort fans.

St. Bart’s, Caribbean

One of many islands in the Caribbean Sea, St. Bart’s stands out with its blend of French chic and island relaxation. With beautiful secluded beaches, fine French cuisine, and gracious hotels, this tropical playground is popular with the Jet Set. The 8-mile-long (13-kilometer-long) island is edged by 20 beaches and small coves for swimmers and sunbathers, with sparkling water and white sand.

Langkawi, Malaysia

The name “Langkawi” translates into “the land of one’s wishes,” a welcoming concept that somewhat belies the island’s historic origins as a reputed refuge for pirates. Langkawi has since become a modern hideaway for the traveler seeking an escape. If your vacation wishes extend from uncrowded white sands and clear waters to lush green forests, you will find yourself content here. Datai Bay, located on Pulau Langkawi, is a heavenly retreat on the Andaman Sea.

Kauna’oa Bay, Hawaii

Located on the Kohala Coast of the Aloha State’s Big Island, Kauna’oa Bay is the quintessential Hawaiian spot. The 0.25-mile-long (0.4-kilometer-long), crescent-shaped beach has plenty of white sand, palm trees, and calm, clear, blue water. In addition to swimming and sunbathing, beachgoers here can snorkel or ride boogie boards. (Be careful swimming, however, because there are no lifeguards on this public beach.) At night, nestle into the sands and peer out into the water to see if you can catch a glimpse of manta rays swimming.

1. KOH PHI PHI ISLAND, THAILAND

 2. COLOMBIER BEACH, ST. BARTH’S

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out why Colombier Beach is a sexy beach; accessible only by boat or a 25-minute hike along rocky terrain, the cove is all about blue skies, shimmering green water and flamingo-hued sand. While private yachts moor up at the cove’s entrance, you’ll be left largely to your own devices. We recommend bringing a picnic and cracking open a bottle of bubbly.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 3. PINK BEACH, ANTIGUA, CARIBBEAN

While movies such as Into The Blue and After The Sunset will have you thinking that Paradise Island in the Bahamas is the best place to get romantic on the sand, it’s not (unless you’re an exhibitionist, of course). Antigua’s Pink Beach offers a little privacy away from the madding crowds. Stretching eight miles and bordered by crystal-clear waters on one side and a handful of beautiful boutique hotels on the other, this is one picture-postcard sandbar. What’s more, the beach is only ever used by a few of the nearby hotels’ guests.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 4. WILDCAT BEACH, CALIFORNIA, USA

Secluded Wildcat Beach is located a full 30 minutes from San Francisco and requires a five-minute walk, but it’s worth it. What’s more, you can build a bonfire (with the necessary license, of course) and admire huge tide-fall cascades down from the cliffs and onto the sand behind you.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

5. MAJAHUITAS COVE, MEXICO

Accessible only by boat, swaying palms, pristine white sand and turquoise waters await you at Majahuitas Cove. Named after a yellow hibiscus-like flower, it’s brimming with enough plant and wildlife to create a stunning natural backdrop. Forget about Greece’s more popular islands and head out to the island of Kea, a beautiful beach just a ferry ride away from Athens. Once there, make your way to Poles Bay – a three-hour walk – and indulge in the twin sand beaches, rocky landscape and ancient ruins. Do you ever tell yourself I just need to book that exotic island vacation package I’ve always dreamed of? Which quickly turns into I just never find the time to getaway. These range from relaxing island vacation packages to affordable all inclusive vacation packages or just a quick weekend getaway.

They include all of the popular destinations like Mexico, Hawaii, Europe, and Australia. The more exclusive luxury clubs offer trips to exotic locations like Dubai, Fiji, Costa Rica, or Tahiti. These premier clubs also offer luxury packages to major sporting events like the Superbowl or the US Open golf tournament. Other packages feature high profile celebrity charity events where meeting and mingling with sports figures and celebrities is part of the experience. Being part of a club doesn’t guarantee a change in old habits but it at least gets us dreaming of the possibilities again.

I challenge you to start living the life of your dreams. Life is short and it is meant to be lived, so remember to love, be passionate, and go travel!

10.     Beachwalker Park,Kiawah Island, South Carolina

Kiawah Beachwalker Park, located on the west end of Kiawah Island, offers ocean frontage and a river view, along with the only public beach access on beautiful Kiawah Island.  Lifeguards are on duty seasonally along a beachfront designated swimming area.

9.     Coast Guard Beach,Cape Cod, Massachusetts

Coast Guard Beach is part of the Cape Cod National Seashore, and the National Park Service offers ranger-guided programs — such as hikes– in the area. The beach stretches for miles, has dunes, good swimming in summer, body-surfing and boogie-boarding. In summer, local parking is closed and access is by a shuttle bus

8.     Cape Florida State Park, Key Biscayne, Florida

Cape Florida is home to one of the best beaches in the United States with 1.2 miles of shoreline, miles of paved pedestrian/ bike paths that allows cyclists, hikers, and skaters to enjoy the historic Cape Florida lighthouse, fishing along the seawall, swimming in the Atlantic Ocean and nature trails that permit people to see the diversity of native plant and wildlife communities.

Hamoa Beach Hamoa beach is tucked away down a flight of stairs from Haneo’o Road in Hana. The beach is a long strand of soft grey sand, a beach so perfectly formed into the shape of a half moon, it is rimmed by boulders of lava and guarded by tall volcanic needles. Trees line the shore, which offers a crescent of black and silver sand.
